Geoffrey Weaver
|
Born 1943, Geoffrey Weaver gained an Honours Degree in Music
at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge. He was for five years Director of
Music at Bristol Grammar School, then spent six years in Hong Kong with the
Church Missionary Society, teaching music in a Chinese school. From 1982 to 1986
he was Organist and master of the Choristers at Bradford Cathedral,
subsequently become a tutor at the Selly Oak Colleges, Birmingham. In 1994 he
was appointed Director of Studies with the Royal School of Church Music. He also
conducts St. Michael's Chamber Choir in Wolverhampton, and is Director of the
Society's "junior" choir, the Wyre Forest Young Voices.

T he Society has about 120 singers but welcomes applications
for membership to participate in its concert schedule.
Rehearsals are held on
Thursdays from 7.30 to 9.15 pm in Baxter Church Hall, Kidderminster.
Applications to join should be made to the Membership Secretary

Are You A Listener ?
Regular members of our audiences can become 'Non-Singing
Members' of the Society (details from the Membership Secretary) .... or you
may care to become a 'Friend of the Society' and qualify to receive news of the
Society's activities and to participate in them via a concessionary rate for
tickets.
The society is affiliated to Making Music (the
Nat..Fed..of M.s) and to the Wyre Forest Arts Forum.
The Society is a member of West Midlands Arts, and the Kidderminster-Husum
Twinning Association.
