Calling all Lacemakers and Needlecrafters Do you make any kind of Lace ? Do you like any form of Needlecraft ?
Wyre Forest Lacemakers would like to welcome you to Lickhill Community
Centre on the third Tuesday of every month from 8 pm - 10 pm
The group was formed in October 1994 to enable a group of enthusiastic Lace-makers to meet informally, once a month -
Most members enjoy more than one form of needlecraft and most meetings will see a range of needlecraft being practiced. Come along for a 'natta' and a 'cuppa', and swap ideas while indulging in your hobby for a couple of hours.

Details of Recent Activities: We currently have an exhibition of our 'Lace Cakes' at Hartlebury Museum - at which we have also been demonstrating Lacemaking techniques (with many favourable comments). This concludes on 10th September. Our AGM is to be held on 18th September. New members are always welcome. We will be holding a 'Lace Identification Workshop' on 27th
October (See Diary for details) In the spring, we plan "2 Dozen Pairs; 2 Dozen Colours" - which will be workshop-based. This, together with other projects, will be able to be seen at the Forum's 'Showcase 2002'. Occasional visits have been organised to view collections of Lace and, to date, we have been to the Cecil Higgins Museum (in Bedford) and to see special exhibitions at The Hollies (The Lace Guild Headquarters) in Stourbridge. In 1997 the group was awarded a Lottery Grant (under the Arts For All [Express] Scheme), to hold a series of master-Classes so that members could learn new Lace-making skills from experts. Members of the group were also involved with the Community Textile Project to celebrate the opening of the new Kidderminster Library in 1997.
Currently we have an exhibition
of our work on display at the Lace Guild.Enquiries about
