Bewdley
Baptist Art Group was started by David Goddard in January 1999. He
started it as a watercolour class to help church folk and friends to improve
their landscape painting. The idea was to introduce people to the
fellowship of the church in an informal and friendly way by enjoying a leisure
pursuit together.

examples of the artwork produced by members of the group that
meet at Bewdley Baptist Church on Thursday evenings (7.30pm for about two
hours). Come and join us! We learn from each other as well as from invited
visiting artists. Landscapes and flower painting are a speciality but we
encourage individual styles within a setting of fun, fellowship, and leisure.
David and Celia Goddard left for South Africa to found a
Christian Primary School in the Khayelitsha district of Cape Town in February
2000. From that time the group has been run by Ron Hoggarth.
